PURE PENNSYLVANIA MAPLE SYRUP
North Harford Maple started out as a backyard maple hobby when the Holleran family began tapping the maple trees which grow abundantly in the forests on their property just outside of Harford, Pennsylvania. In the first few seasons, sap was collected in tin pails from a few dozen trees, boiled down over an outdoor wood fire in a large pan, and finished on the kitchen stove. Friends and family deemed the syrup to be delicious and naturally wanted more. Eventually production was expanded to include more efficient collection systems and processing equipment to meet the growing demand. Today, the Holleran family and friends tap more than 300 trees and produce large quantities of syrup.
